The use of the hyperlinking function in this exemplar is symbolic of the link between the concept delivered on the originating slides and the students’ understanding of the content knowledge, summarised in the destination slides.  The provision of multiple possible responses to each scenario and the consequences of the reader’s decision, demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the curriculum content.  Furthermore, it draws on literacy elements including “deliver presentations” and “knowledge of text structures” (ACARA, 2013, p. 22-23), while exercising HOTS (Churches, 2010) such as creativity, to optimise content retention and enhance student literacy.
