Suspense Video Project

This project based learning task allows Visual Art students to learn about, research, and demonstrate specific course content, e.g. “Visual language and expression” (QSA, 2007), whilst employing 21st century learner skills such as collaboration and creativity (P21.org, 2011) to become “creative and productive users of technology” (MCEECDYA, 2008, p.8).  This facilitates optimal understanding of the subject matter as shown by the higher order thinking skills of Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy (Churches, 2010).  Furthermore, it demonstrates the teacher’s ability to amalgamate TPACK methodology (Koehler, n.d.) and specific ICT teaching standards (Queensland College of Teachers, 2013) to meet an educational purpose.
